Starting fresh

This has been an eye opening last few months for me. I am no longer with Jen R. the girl in the pics below with me, her choice. She broke up with me as we were coming up on our 2 years together. Apparently she had been thinking about this breakup since Christmas time. It really hurt! Since I moved out here to be with her from Wyoming. I immersed myself in work, yes I got the substituting job with the Renton School District, and that helped to keep my mind off things. I started going out and meeting new people. I met some women in Seattle and around Kent, I met one who completely held my attention. Since meeting her...all i can say is we have been together for 2 months now. Which makes my ex Jen upset, understandably so but I got to start living for myself! I am looking at moving out of the exs mothers house and move in with my new g/f soon! I'll keep you updated! :D

Winter Camping?! Are you Crazy? (YUP)

If any of you have experienced the fun of winter camping, then yay for you! Lastnight 6 of my friends decided to go out to Vedauwoo and set up camp. (This yes is the week that we have had negative double digits as our highs of the day.) We got to Vedauwoo and found our campsite. I stepped out of the car and nearly blew away...(50-60mph wind guts). Since i have experience with camping and starting campfires..i was nominated to start the fire in the wind. LOL that was a hoot! We got the fire going really well and then we pulled out the goodies and had smores. After that we were telling stories from our own camping experiences, decided that we knew all the constellations in the sky, and if not we made new ones up...lol. So nearing bedtime...we just have one tent and its a 4 person tent with 6 ppl to fit in. Talk about body heat and snuggling...I thought it was rather funny- but through the night we heard 'things' outside of our tent. which makes me get all excited and i start to laugh...so if there was something actually outside...it would have been gone by the sound of my laugh. All of this camping takes me back to the many upon many years in Girl Scouts! It was great fun with my friends that went out there and the coolest thing about it now...we can all say we have been winter camping

I am a carhartt lesbian! so says Big Gay Jim!

As this past week has been wicked cold out, i have found myself wearing more and more layers of clothes..and more often than not one of the layers happen to be Carhartts. Which if you have never experienced 'The Carhartt' then you better soon or you'll freeze your ass off! (or shoot your eye out) sorry i couldnt help it...getting back to it- I walked into the RRC and one of THE MOST FABULOUS PEOPLE i know was in there! we exchanged the normal heys and he made reference to my attire-which this morning was all Carhartts! And he called me a Carhartt Lesbian. I had to laugh and said yes and its the only way I stay warm (well this is wyoming). I am noticing more and more people wearing them around campus (smart people) - im almost tempted to make a group on facebook LOL for those of you know what facebook is - i hope you're not a facebook whore j/k.
Gotta love the Carhartts! ;-)

The show was amazing-i will go againg and again... so on the drive back to newcastle, Trevor and I started talking about the show, the characters, the dynamics throughout it all. Well of course the 'gay' thing came up and he was like are you?...I am i what?...gay he asked...i didnt hesistate and said yes...i came out! he said he had noticed the rainbows and made a guess. the only person who doesnt know is my lil sis. *whew!*

How they grow up so fast!?

There is no rest for the crazy(me). lol! I have started my online physics class as of today. This is gonna be a stretch for me but i think i will be good. I have been able to return to Newcastle to see my family recently which was great bc it has been since christmas that i have been to newcastle. My brother Jim is graduating on the 22nd. Then he will be off to college in Spearfish, SD. in the fall. My baby brother is all grown up- i have been gone for some time and i have completely missed out on some of the greatest accomplishments that he has done. At least he knows that i am very proud of him! Trevor on the other hand is the against the grain kid. he is 13 and has so many things going for him! Some of the things i have found out about Trev recently doesnt suprise me. I know that he is gonna have a rough time with schooling. What a sensative person. And Sarah the youngest has gotta so big and is really enjoying school, she is doing soccer and volleyball along with Girl Scouts. They are all keeping the parents busy. The new house is really great and my parents are happy with it.
I got the chance to go and talk to the school counselor and we talked about how much the middle/high school there in newcastle has affected "the gay kids" I know of only one other person that identifies as non heterosexual that graduated from my high school. I want to broach the subject of how to make the environment safer/comfortable for the queers that are growing up in small town wyoming, as most of us have. so ill have to see how that goes.
Take care and miss ya'll-micro dyke

Happy May Day to all!

This was the day that I would make little baskets of goodies and venture out to close friends and families houses, ring their doorbell and then take off running like the dickens...I can say I was never caught but they knew who it was from. Those were some great times.
I stop and reflect on what this past school year and especially this last semester has changed me. I have developed as a teacher with all the pedigogical content knowledge (everything you need to know to be an effective PE teacher). And that doesn't mean just playing dodgeball. You may think its just about that (rolling out the ball) but thats not teaching content. I have enjoyed my time as a teacher and i cant wait til next year when ill be teaching rugby and a PEAC 1001 course. Hope the weather gets better so we can all venture out soon. Good luck on finals and we will see you all in the funny pages!
-ok Linus how was that for a lame ass post!-

As I was browsing the net I came across an article that says that the Pope Benny XVI has an email address...im sure Linus will have more cracks about it than i would but thought id tell yall. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6448213/did/7587388/ here is the article. Reach out and touch the Pope and tell him what your really thinking. ;)

News Flash:
Pope Benedict XVI has decided to shorten the name from Benedict to Benny, and the Pope-Mobile is so out dated and he is looking to buy a fleet of corporate jets. (Benny and the Jets)
